Getting there & location
From St. Gallen main station, several VBSG bus lines (including 3, 4 and 6) run to the Olma Messen or Langgass stops; the casino is directly opposite the exhibition grounds. From St. Gallen St. Fiden station it is around a 5-minute walk.
Take the A1 motorway to the St. Gallen-St. Fiden exit (no. 82), then follow the signs for Olma Messen. The casino is on St. Jakob-Strasse directly opposite the exhibition grounds. The drive takes around 1 hour from Zurich and about 40 minutes from Konstanz or the Lake Constance area.

History & Background
The Casino St. Gallen opened on 28 November 2003 as the third casino in Switzerland after Neuchâtel and Zurich. It was built together with the Radisson Hotel in a then newly constructed building complex directly opposite the Olma Messen; the hotel building was completed in October 2003. The venue is operated by Swiss Casino St. Gallen AG, part of the Zurich-based Swiss Casinos group, Switzerland's largest casino company, with further locations in Zurich, Pfäffikon and Schaffhausen. In 2019 the group received a licence extension for the online casino swisscasinos.ch. In 2023 the venue celebrated its 20th anniversary, and in the nationwide licensing round its Type A licence was renewed for the 2025 to 2044 period. Today, with around 200 slot machines, table games and an active poker offering, it is the leading casino in eastern Switzerland.
