Getting there & location
The nearest bus stop is Hilcona, Schaan (LIEmobil bus network). Schaan-Vaduz station is a few minutes away, with larger rail connections at Buchs SG and Feldkirch (Austria).
From Switzerland, take the A13 and cross the Rhine at Bendern or Buchs, then head towards Schaan into the Im alten Riet commercial district. The casino is easily reached on the northern edge of Schaan, with access via the Im alten Riet exit.

History & Background
The Alpin Royal Casino grew out of the Castle Casino Vaduz, which closed at the end of 2024 so that its licence could be transferred to the new location in Schaan. Following investments of more than CHF 50 million, the Alpin Royal opened on 21 March 2025 as a new build with a casino, hotel and restaurant. The opening came during a turbulent phase for Liechtenstein's casino market: of the nine casinos originally licensed, four remain in operation after several closures, including the LV Casino Eschen in January 2025 and the Casino Admiral Ruggell in September 2025. The extension of Swiss gambling exclusions to Liechtenstein from 2025 put the sector under considerable pressure. In this consolidated market, the Alpin Royal positions itself as a modern casino resort and is one of the established remaining venues in the Principality.
