Getting there & location
Courrendlin railway station on the Delémont–Moutier line is about a 10-minute walk from the casino. There is also a Casino bus stop on Route de Delémont right by the venue. From Delémont the journey by train or bus takes only a few minutes.
The casino sits directly beside the A16 motorway (Transjurane) at the Courrendlin/Delémont-Est exit and is signposted. From Basel the drive takes around 40 minutes via the A18 and A16; from Biel about 35 to 40 minutes via the A16 through the Taubenloch gorge.

History & Background
Gambling has a long tradition in Courrendlin: a Casino du Jura was inaugurated here as Switzerland's sixteenth gaming venue as early as 24 October 1989, at that point still a Kursaal with the limited game selection of the pre-licensing era. Under the new Swiss Gambling Act, Casino du Jura SA was granted a Type B licence on 3 December 2002, and the casino began operating under ESBK supervision on 12 December 2002. To this day it remains the only licensed casino in the canton of Jura. Its majority shareholder, with around 90 per cent, is Groupe Lucien Barrière Suisse SA, placing the venue in the same network as the Casinos Barrière in Montreux and Fribourg. In 2026 the casino joined the new national jackpot network Swiss Jackpot 2.0, which links fifteen Swiss casinos.
