Evolution does not build slots but streamed tables with real dealers, along with the game shows that grew out of them. Three of the six Swiss casinos tested carry the range.

Evolution was founded in Sweden in 2006 and created a category that had not existed in this form before: casino games that take place in real studios and are streamed around the clock. Dealers sit at physical tables, players place their bets through the interface, and cameras and sensors transmit everything in real time.
The niche provider has become a group that now also owns NetEnt, Red Tiger, Big Time Gaming, and Nolimit City. That puts Evolution behind a considerable share of what runs under various names in Swiss lobbies. Important to know: a game provider is not a casino operator, its licences apply to the provider itself and not to the operator that holds your balance.
The range splits into two worlds. On one side are the classics: roulette, blackjack, and baccarat in many variants and stake levels, some with extra features such as Lightning Roulette, where random numbers are assigned multipliers.
On the other side are the game shows, which are more reminiscent of television formats than of a casino: Crazy Time, Monopoly Live, and Dream Catcher are presented by hosts and have their own bonus rounds. They are aimed at players who find a classic table too quiet. What the full live offering in Switzerland looks like is covered on the live casinos in Switzerland page.

“With live casino, what changes most is the pace, and that is usually underestimated. At a roulette table you might manage forty rounds an hour, while on a slot it is several hundred spins. If you want to stretch your budget over an evening, live play automatically gives you the advantage.”

There are three differences from slot play that you should know. First, the pace: a round takes minutes rather than seconds, because you wait for other players and the dealer. That limits the amount staked per hour far more than with slots.
Second, the betting limits: live tables have fixed minimum and maximum bets, which are displayed for each table. If you play with a small budget, you will not find a suitable entry point at every table.
Third, the payout rate: in roulette it results from the rules of the game, not from a software setting. A European wheel with a single zero pays back differently from one with a double zero. What lies behind this is explained under the term house edge in the casino glossary.
Three of the six operators tested carry Evolution: Jackpots, Casino777, and 7melons. The studio is missing at mycasino, Swiss4win, and Pasino.
That does not mean these three have no live offering. Pragmatic Play, Playtech, and Stakelogic also run their own studios, and all six casinos offer live tables. The difference lies in the selection: if you are looking specifically for Crazy Time or Lightning Roulette, you will find these formats only with Evolution.
The range suits players who are looking for the social side of the casino: someone sitting opposite, a visible wheel, a round you can follow. If you have ever been to a land-based casino, this is the closest equivalent you will find.
It is less suitable for anyone who wants to play quickly and on the side. The waiting time between rounds cannot be skipped, and that is exactly the point: live games are slower, which in this context is more of an advantage.
Crazy Time. The best-known format of all. A large wheel with four bonus games, each of which follows its own rules. The rounds are long, the swings are big, and a host guides you through it all. If you are looking for calm, this is the wrong place.
Lightning Roulette. Classic European roulette in which individual numbers are assigned multipliers before each spin. If one of them hits, the win is considerably higher. The price for this: a straight-up bet on a single number without a multiplier pays only 29:1 instead of 35:1. All other bets pay the same as in standard roulette.
Monopoly Live. A wheel of fortune plus a bonus round in which an animated game piece moves across a board and collects amounts. The bonus round can last several minutes.
Infinite Blackjack. Blackjack with no limit on seats: all players receive the same starting hand and then decide individually. This removes the wait for a free seat that occurs at classic tables at peak times.
Dream Catcher. The simplest format in the line-up: a wheel, numbers, a bet, done. No bonus rounds, no extra rules. A good starting point for getting to know the live format before you venture into Crazy Time.
All five run around the clock from Evolution studios. The table limits are shown before you join each one, and they differ considerably from format to format.
Three of the six Swiss casinos tested carry Evolution. Live tables from other providers, by contrast, are available everywhere.

Live formats with a host that are more reminiscent of television programmes than of classic casino games. The best known are Crazy Time, Monopoly Live, and Dream Catcher.
Yes. All six Swiss casinos offer live tables, for example from Pragmatic Play, Playtech, or Stakelogic. Only the specific Evolution formats are missing there.
The process is physical: a real wheel, real cards, visible via the stream. The payout rate results from the rules of the game, not from a software setting. In addition, the operators are subject to Swiss supervision.
Each table has its own minimum and maximum, shown before you join. The range runs from a few francs to high amounts at separate tables.
