The Pokerroom Bendern is the heart of the venue and one of the largest and most modern poker rooms in the Liechtenstein, eastern Switzerland and Vorarlberg region. Cash games run daily from micro to high stakes, and at major events such as the WSOP Circuit up to 53 tables are in play. International tournament series with guaranteed prize money in the millions attract players from all over Europe.
Getting there & location
From the SBB station in Buchs SG, LIEmobil buses reach Bendern in around 10 minutes, and it is only a few minutes' walk from the stop to the casino. There are also direct bus connections from Schaan-Vaduz and Feldkirch (Austria) into the Liechtenstein Unterland.
From Switzerland, take the A13 (St. Gallen–Chur) to the Haag exit, then cross the Rhine bridge to Bendern; the casino is clearly visible on the main road. Around 1 hour 15 minutes from Zurich, about 45 minutes from St. Gallen and roughly 15 minutes from Feldkirch (Austria).

Is the Grand Casino Liechtenstein a Swiss casino?
No. The casino is in the Principality of Liechtenstein and operates under Liechtenstein's Gambling Act, supervised by the FMA and the national authorities, not by the Swiss ESBK. Play is nevertheless in Swiss francs, since Liechtenstein uses the CHF.

History & Background
The building on Selemad in Bendern was originally constructed for the private Medicnova clinic, which had to file for insolvency in 2018. Grand Casino LI AG took over the new building and on 11 December 2019 opened Liechtenstein's fourth and, at around 7,000 square metres, largest casino. From the outset the venue pursued an overall concept combining casino, restaurant, bars and its own hotel. In 2021 Gryphon Invest AG from the Novo Swiss group came on board as a shareholder with around 27 per cent. The Pokerroom Bendern quickly became the flagship and brought international series such as the WSOP Circuit to the country, with guaranteed prize money in the millions. While Liechtenstein has halted the award of new casino licences under a moratorium until 2028, in 2026 the Grand Casino Liechtenstein is one of the five remaining active casinos in the Principality.
