Best No-Deposit Bonus Casinos in Switzerland

No deposit bonuses are rare in the Swiss market because the Swiss Federal Gaming Board strictly regulates bonus marketing. Four of the operators holding a concession currently have an offer with no deposit: Jackpots with CHF 20 in credit plus 50 free spins, mycasino with 99 free spins, Swiss4win with up to 150 free spins and Pasino with 10 Super Spins. All four are tied to the identity check: without a verified account, there is no bonus and no withdrawal in Switzerland. Which offer is best for you depends less on the number of spins than on whether wagering requirements are attached to it.

What makes Jackpots special: The 50 free spins come with no wagering requirements whatsoever. Winnings from these free spins are credited directly as withdrawable real money. This is absolutely top-notch in the Switzerland market and is a rare find.

The CHF 20 real money bonus, on the other hand, has standard wagering requirements. You must wager CHF 600 (30x) on slots before you can make a withdrawal. Anyone who wants to use it just as trial credit for 10 or 20 rounds of roulette won’t meet the wagering requirement. A realistic approach: a few spins on slots—the risk remains zero.

Tip: claim the bonus within the 30 day window after registration. Wait too long and you lose your entitlement.

Rich Wilde and the Tome of Madness (Play’n GO)

What makes mycasino special: 99 free spins is by far the highest number of no-deposit free spins available in Switzerland. And they come with no wagering requirements, making them the fairest option. You spin, you win, and your winnings are real money right away.

The catch: the spins are tied to a single slot, Rich Wilde and the Tome of Madness by Play’n GO. If that slot is not for you, there is no alternative to choose. And the 7 day validity forces you to use the spins quickly.

Realistic Expectation: With 99 free spins and the slot’s typical RTP of around 96%, this results in an average withdrawal—depending on the bet amount—that can range from a few francs to a double-digit amount. Volatility is medium-high, so occasional big wins are possible.

What makes Swiss4win special: The tiered system is clever. You get 50 free spins just for signing up. As soon as you upload your ID and verify your account within 10 days, you’ll receive another 100 free spins. That adds up to up to 150 free spins.

The incentive is to complete the verification process right away. If you only claim the first 50 spins and never verify your account, you’ll lose the remaining 100 spins and won’t be able to make any withdrawals.

Swiss4win regularly supplements its standard bonus with limited-time promotions. Subscribers to the mailing list are sometimes notified of additional free spins via short promotional codes.

What makes Pasino special: Pasino doesn’t focus on quantity, but rather on a small, straightforward welcome bonus. Super Spins are a special type of free spins with fixed bet amounts, tied to select games. The advantage: a simple process, clear terms, and quick crediting.

If you’re starting out with the Pasino bonus, be sure to check the terms and conditions of the currently active promotions, as the number of Super Spins and the eligible slots are occasionally updated.

What is a no deposit bonus?

A no deposit bonus is an offer you receive without depositing any money of your own. In Switzerland, all it takes is registration followed by verification of the account. Because you stake nothing, you cannot lose anything either. In return, the amounts are considerably smaller than with the welcome bonus and the conditions are tighter.

Two forms, one big difference

The most common variant is free spins for a specified slot. The second is a small amount of real money credit that you can stake freely. What matters is not the form, but whether a wagering requirement is attached to it. Free spins with no wagering requirement are credited directly as withdrawable real money; a real money bonus with 30x wagering first has to be wagered thirty times. That sounds like a detail, and in practice it accounts for the entire value.

Why verification is mandatory

Since the federal Money Gaming Act (BGS) came into force on 1 January 2019, a strict identification requirement has applied in Switzerland. Without a completed check, there is no withdrawal and, in almost all cases, no bonus without a deposit either. This serves to protect against money laundering, against gambling by minors and against multiple accounts.

In practice, you upload a copy of your Swiss ID and a proof of address that is no more than three months old. Depending on the operator, the check takes from a few hours to several business days, after which the bonus is activated automatically. Which details are required, and why, is explained under player account.

Types of no deposit bonus

In the Swiss market you will come across four variants, each with a strength of its own.

Free spins

Spins at no cost on a specified slot with a fixed stake per round. The most common form and, provided it is wager-free, the best. Advantage: you test at no risk whether a game suits you at all. Disadvantage: you cannot choose the slot. You will find more on free spins in all their variants, including those with a deposit, under free spin bonus.

Real money credit

A small amount that you can spread freely across games and stakes. Maximum flexibility, but practically always with a wagering requirement, in Switzerland typically 30x on slots and considerably more on table games.

Super Spins

Free spins with a higher stake value per spin. Instead of CHF 0.10 or CHF 0.20, the value is CHF 0.50 or more. That means fewer rounds, but larger possible individual wins. Pasino uses this term for its entry offer.

Cashback

Not a starter bonus in the strict sense, but a refund of part of the net losses over a defined period. The advantage over a match bonus: cashback often comes with no wagering requirement and is therefore easier to assess. The disadvantage lies in the nature of the thing: it presupposes that you have lost.

“With a no deposit bonus, what counts is not the number of spins, but whether a wagering requirement is attached to it. Fifty wager-free free spins are worth more than twenty francs of credit that you have to play through thirty times.”

What a no deposit bonus is really worth

This is where it gets interesting, because the bigger number is not automatically the better offer. Let us work it through, using a slot with a payout rate of 96%: statistically, the casino keeps 4% of the amount wagered.

The CHF 20 credit at Jackpots

CHF 20 with 30x wagering means CHF 600 in bets. Of that, 4% is a statistical loss of CHF 24, on a bonus of CHF 20. Mathematically, then, nothing is left over; on average, the wagering hurdle uses up the bonus completely. What makes it worthwhile all the same: you are not staking any money of your own. Your risk is zero, and the variance works in your favour: in a single session, you can end up well above the average.

The free spins with no wagering requirement

Here the calculation looks different. Free spins are valued at a fixed stake, in Switzerland usually CHF 0.10 to CHF 0.20. 99 spins at CHF 0.20 give a play value of around CHF 20, so with a 96% return that is just under CHF 19 on average. And because no wagering requirement is attached to it, this amount can be withdrawn directly.

This leads to a rule of thumb that most comparison sites miss: free spins with no wagering requirement are generally worth more than a real money bonus of the same size with 30x wagering. When comparing, do not go by the number of spins but by the play value multiplied by the payout rate, and check whether a wagering requirement stands in between.

The real catch is the maximum withdrawal

It is not the wagering multiplier that limits no deposit bonuses most, but the withdrawal limit. If an operator pays out only CHF 100 from a free spins package, any top win is capped at that amount. Swiss casinos are comparatively transparent here and in some cases do not limit free spin winnings at all, but it is always worth checking. How the limit works is explained under max cashout.

Understanding bonus conditions

Four terms decide whether a no deposit bonus delivers what it promises.

Wagering multiplier

It tells you how many times you have to wager the bonus amount before a withdrawal is possible. CHF 20 with 30x wagering means CHF 600 in bets. Important: wager, not lose. Whatever you win along the way and play on with counts as well. In the Swiss market the multipliers are 30x to 35x, internationally often 40x and more.

Game contribution

Not every game counts equally. Slots usually contribute 100%, roulette and blackjack often only 10% or nothing at all. Some operators express this as a higher multiplier: Jackpots states 30x for slots and 300x for table games, which mathematically is the same thing. If you want to wager a bonus, play slots.

Maximum bet

As long as the bonus is active, an upper limit per round applies, generally between CHF 5 and CHF 10. A single spin above it can cost you the bonus and all the winnings resulting from it. The systems check this automatically, so you should not count on goodwill.

Maximum withdrawal and time limit

The withdrawal limit caps how much you can take away from the bonus, regardless of what you win. And the time limit runs differently depending on the operator: at mycasino seven days from the date of crediting, at Jackpots 30 days from registration. If it expires, everything unused is forfeited without compensation. How time limits for bonuses are regulated in general is explained under expiry period.

Step by step to the no deposit bonus

The process is practically identical at all four operators and takes a few minutes in total, plus the waiting time for the check.

First, you choose one of the four casinos with a no deposit offer. Then you register an account with genuine details: first name, surname, date of birth, home address, telephone number and email. With made-up details, verification will inevitably fail later on, and the account will be blocked.

Next, you upload the documents: Swiss identity card or passport and a proof of address, usually a bill or a bank statement, no more than three months old. Confirmation arrives by email, within hours or after a few business days, depending on the operator.

The bonus is then credited automatically, at Jackpots after you enter the relevant code. You do not need to request anything else. After that, pay attention to just three things: the validity period, the eligible slot and the maximum bet per spin.

Finally, the most important point: if a wagering requirement is attached to the bonus, meet it in full before you request a withdrawal. With wager-free free spins, you can withdraw straight away.

Why no deposit bonuses are rare in Switzerland

Anyone familiar with international casino sites will be surprised: there, generous no deposit offers are standard marketing, whereas in Switzerland they are the exception. There are three reasons for this.

First, the Swiss Federal Gaming Board (ESBK) regulates bonus marketing. The Money Gaming Act (BGS) sets clear limits on the advertising of gambling, particularly to protect vulnerable groups. Aggressive offers designed to lure players in are not compatible with this.

Second, a large bonus designed to lure players in contradicts the idea of protection on which the law is based. Anyone who takes part in gambling should decide to do so consciously, and not because an offer pushes them into it.

Third, the market is small. The operators holding a concession share a population of around nine million. Expensive customer acquisition through bonuses is less necessary here than in Germany or Great Britain.

The result is a trade-off: smaller amounts, but conditions that are easier to follow. What is stated on a Swiss bonus page is, as a rule, also what you get.

How We Test Online Casinos

Our reviews are based on a clearly defined and transparent testing methodology. Every online casino is checked against fixed criteria. This ensures that all providers are evaluated objectively and comparably. You can find details of our process on our testing methodology page.

What to look out for with a no deposit bonus

Five points you should check before activation, in this order.

The concession. Only take offers from casinos with a Swiss concession. With foreign operators, you have no legal recourse in Switzerland in the event of a dispute.

The wagering requirement. If there is none, the offer is clearly the better one. If it is 30x to 35x, it is in line with the market. Well above that, the hurdle becomes unrealistic.

The maximum withdrawal. With no deposit bonuses, this is the most important figure and the one most often overlooked. A limit of CHF 50 restricts even the best free spins package.

The validity period. Seven days is tight, 30 days is comfortable. Factor in when you will actually have time to play.

The eligible slot. With free spins, it is specified. Take a look in demo mode to see whether the volatility and mechanics appeal to you at all before you use up 99 spins on it.

No deposit bonus or welcome bonus?

Both have their place, and they are not mutually exclusive. Incidentally, the common claim that no deposit bonuses have stricter wagering requirements is not true: the multipliers are practically the same. The difference lies in the maximum withdrawal and in the time limit.

Criterion No deposit Welcome bonus
Deposit required no yes
Amount CHF 20 or 10 to 150 free spins up to CHF 2,200 plus free spins
Own risk none the deposit
Wagering multiplier 30x or none 30x to 35x
Maximum withdrawal often capped generally unlimited
Time limit 7 to 30 days 30 days to 6 months
Verification required beforehand before the withdrawal

The sensible order: take the no deposit bonus as a trial run. If you like the platform, you then collect the welcome bonus. All six operators in direct comparison, with wagering multiplier and time limit, can be found in the bonus comparison.

Taxes and legal certainty

Winnings from online participation in casino games are tax-free in Switzerland up to a threshold. This tax-free threshold is laid down in Article 24 of the Federal Act on Direct Federal Taxation, amounts in principle to one million francs and is adjusted annually for inflation: for 2026 it stands at CHF 1,071,000. Winnings at a Swiss casino on site are even tax-free without limit. With a no deposit bonus, this is practically never relevant because the amounts remain small, so you do not need to give tax any thought.

Legal certainty is more relevant. With a Swiss operator holding a concession, the Swiss Federal Gaming Board is the competent supervisory authority, to which you can turn in the event of a dispute. With a foreign platform, this route does not exist, and winnings from there are fully taxable as other income.

A practical side note: in the gambling sector, TWINT and the PostFinance Card only work with Swiss operators. If you want to deposit and withdraw without a foreign currency and without a conversion surcharge, you are better served by the casinos holding a concession anyway.

Responsible gambling

A no deposit bonus costs you no money, but it is a way in, and that is exactly what it is intended to be. Three things are therefore worthwhile before you move from free spins to stakes of your own.

Set the deposit limit before you deposit for the first time, not afterwards. Swiss operators generally require you to set one when you register; use this opportunity and choose an amount that you can readily afford to lose.

Do not let the time limit drive you. Seven days of validity, as at mycasino, can tempt you into playing under time pressure. If you cannot use the spins at your leisure, it is better to let them expire.

And keep an eye on your own expectations. Anyone who wants to turn a free spins package into an income is calculating against the mathematics. The realistic expectation is in the single-digit to low double-digit franc range. If gambling stops being fun, you will find support services and a self-test under responsible gambling; you can reach the national gambling addiction helpline free of charge and anonymously on 0800 040 080.

Blackjack

RTP: up to 99.5%

Blackjack has the highest payout rate of all casino games, but only if you know basic strategy. Without it, the rate drops noticeably. With it, blackjack is mathematically the fairest game in the house.

Poker

RTP: 94.8% / 97.8% / 99.5%

Poker at Swiss online casinos almost always means casino poker against the house or video poker. Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Three Card Poker and Jacks or Better each have their own rules and very different payout rates.

Craps

RTP: up to 99.5%

Craps looks complicated but is simple at its core: the pass line bet has one of the best payout rates in the entire casino. The many side bets on the table are tempting and almost always worse. If you stick to the basic bets, you play at very low cost.

Slots

RTP: 94 to 98%

Slots are the heart of every lobby and also the category with the biggest differences. Volatility and payout rate determine how a session feels. If you know what to look for, you will find the right game here for every budget.

Illustration featuring playing cards, chips, and the "Player" and "Banker" sections as symbols for baccarat

Baccarat

RTP: 98.94% / 98.76%

Baccarat is simpler than it looks: you bet on player, banker or tie, and fixed drawing rules take care of the rest. The banker bet has the best payout rate, just ahead of the player bet. The tie bet is best avoided.

Roulette

RTP: 94.74% / 97.30% / 98.65%

In roulette you set your own risk: win often and little, or rarely and a lot. The payout rate depends solely on the number of zeros on the wheel. The European version with a single zero is the standard at Swiss casinos and clearly better than the American one.

Illustration featuring a movie camera, playing cards, and chips as symbols for live casino games at an online casino

Live casino

RTP: 94 to 98%

In the live casino, real dealers sit at real tables, streamed from the studio. Games follow the same rules as at a table on site. The biggest difference from slots is the pace: forty rounds per hour instead of several hundred spins.

FAQ: No-Deposit Bonuses at Swiss Online Casinos

Which Swiss casino has the best no deposit bonus?

mycasino, with 99 free spins and no wagering requirement, is the most generous pure free spins offer. The best overall package is at Jackpots, with CHF 20 in credit plus 50 free spins that are likewise wager-free. The most spins are at Swiss4win, with up to 150 spread across registration and verification. Pasino rounds things off with 10 Super Spins.

How do I get the no deposit bonus from Jackpots?

You register, upload your ID and proof of address within 30 days and redeem the bonus with a code: JACKBACK for the CHF 20 in credit, SPINBACK for the 50 free spins. The free spins are wager-free and can be withdrawn immediately, while the CHF 20 credit carries 30x wagering, meaning CHF 600 in bets on slots.

How do I get the no deposit bonus from mycasino?

Register and verify the account with your Swiss ID and proof of address. After that, 99 free spins for Rich Wilde and the Tome of Madness by Play’n GO are credited automatically. They are valid for seven days from crediting, and the winnings can be withdrawn immediately with no wagering requirement.

What does 30x wagering mean for a no deposit bonus?

That you have to wager the bonus amount thirty times before a withdrawal is possible. With a CHF 20 bonus, that is CHF 600 in bets. The game contribution is decisive: slots generally count in full, roulette and blackjack often only at 10%. Mathematically, a hurdle like this uses up the bonus completely on average. It remains worthwhile because you are not staking any money of your own.

Is there a no deposit bonus without verification?

Not in Switzerland. The identity check is required by law before bonus funds are released or winnings are paid out. Anyone advertising an offer without verification does not hold a Swiss concession, and therefore has no supervisory authority that you could turn to in the event of a dispute.

How long does verification take?

Depending on the operator, from a few hours to several business days. Complete it straight after registering: at Jackpots, the time limit for the bonus runs for 30 days from registration, and at Swiss4win the additional 100 free spins depend on verification within ten days. At the weekend the check takes longer, because in many places it is done by hand.

Can I use several no deposit bonuses at the same time?

At different casinos, yes: you can register with all four and take up every offer, but you need a separate verified account for each. Multiple accounts with the same operator are prohibited and lead to the account being blocked and the loss of all bonuses.

What happens if I win but the wagering is still outstanding?

The winnings remain as bonus funds and only become withdrawable real money once the wagering requirement has been met. If you request a withdrawal before that, the bonus and the pending winnings are forfeited. With wager-free free spins, the problem does not arise: there, the winnings are real money from the start.
