La maison de jeu est install\u00e9e dans l’ancien Kursaal, un b\u00e2timent charg\u00e9 d’histoire qui servait d\u00e9j\u00e0 de Kursaal et de maison de jeu depuis 1910. En 2002, l’\u00e9tablissement a ouvert ses portes conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 la nouvelle loi suisse sur les maisons de jeu, avec une concession de type B d\u00e9livr\u00e9e par la Commission f\u00e9d\u00e9rale des maisons de jeu (CFMJ). Cette concession a \u00e9t\u00e9 renouvel\u00e9e pour la p\u00e9riode allant de 2025 \u00e0 2044. <\/p>\n
L’espace de jeu compte environ 160 machines \u00e0 sous dot\u00e9es de sept jackpots mis en r\u00e9seau, ainsi qu’une offre classique de jeux de table comprenant la roulette am\u00e9ricaine, la multi-roulette, le blackjack et l’Ultimate Texas Hold’em, compl\u00e9t\u00e9e par deux jackpots progressifs aux tables. L’entr\u00e9e est gratuite ; il suffit de pr\u00e9senter une pi\u00e8ce d’identit\u00e9 en cours de validit\u00e9 et d’avoir au moins 18 ans. Depuis 2022, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Casin\u00f2 Locarno SA appartient enti\u00e8rement \u00e0 la Stadtcasino Baden AG. <\/p>\n
L’une de ses particularit\u00e9s r\u00e9side dans son emplacement, \u00e0 deux pas du site du festival : pendant le Festival du film de Locarno, la Piazza Grande, situ\u00e9e juste devant l’\u00e9tablissement, se transforme en l’un des plus grands cin\u00e9mas en plein air au monde, et le casino est un partenaire officiel du festival.
